JJL Transport
JJL Transport is a family run business named after Alan Woods (the owners) sons Jamie, Joshua and Luke.
JJL Transport was established in 1995. Prior to this Alan had worked for his father for 8 years learning the ropes, in his fathers business - Filey Freight.
Naming the business after his sons at the time says a lot about Alan’s family values. It also indicates the way in which Alan hoped the business would grow in the future and the direction he hoped it would take.
These long established principles and values carry through to the working practices of JJL Transport. Though only a small company, great pride is taken on the quality of the clientele.
As such the customers needs are put first. A great deal of effort, with every aspect of the business, is put into building good honest long term relationships with both the client and trade contacts.
Alan has always been of the opinion that good equipment is needed whether that be the tractor unit or the trailer it pulls. He knows that these long term clientele relationships are needed in order to back up this equipment. He also knows the same relationships are needed within the spanners side of the trade to maintain and supply his own back up service for these vehicles. This service [like his own ]needs to extend to the whole of this country and throughout Europe.
That said, JJL Transport are always on the look out for new contracts whether that be for UK, or International work.
JJL's emphasis has always been on refrigerated UK and International transport. Alan and the small team around him understand the need for quality over quantity within the food chain.
